SAICA and the University of Johannesburg readiness to 4IR

In the 2019 State of the Nation Address, President Ramaphosa said South Africa had chosen to be a country of the future. And in all this, it meant south Africa needed to upscale its approach to 4IR.

SAICA and the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in a joint venture invite young people to the first-of-its -kind series of short online learning programmes aimed at equipping young people with skills to navigate the Fourth Industrial Revolution (or 4IR).

4IR for Accountants is the first-of-its-kind four courses built especially for those highly interested in the fourth industrial revolution to assist them in embracing the lifelong learning journey to adapting to the interconnected technological world we live in today.

The world is changing and moving at a pace that was unprecedented in human history through the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). South Africa has joined this venture for the benefit of its people.

the University of Johannesburg (UJ) has joined hands with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) to be the leader of the 4IR conversations in the country and around the world.

Titled 4IR four courses include, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Blockchain, and Ethics.

How to apply:

  • Click here (enter the token “SAICA” to apply for the correct course).
  • If you are a current UJ student or alumni, follow these steps:
    • For current UJ students, log in to Ulink then:1) click on iEnabler registration; 2) select academic/ residence application; 3) unhide academic applications; 4) click on “add a new academic application and 5) enter the qualification code “SAICA” and follow the instructions to register.
    • For UJ alumni students open iEnabler then 1) select academic/ residence application; 2) unhide academic applications; 3) click on “add a new academic application and 4) enter the qualification code “SAICA” and 5) create a pin via one of the buttons or the call center.
