SAIRR 2022 Bursary opportunity
About the institute:
The South African Institute of Race Relations, Initially established in 1929, is a research and policy organization based in South Africa. The aim of the institute is to investigate social and economic conditions within the country and distribute the findings, the institution has a team with various professionals.
SAIRR is providing educational funding to disadvantaged South Africans and has been on it since 1935.
The late president Nelson Mandela was also a benefit of this bursary, Which funded some of his academic commitments.
Fields covered by this bursary:
Funding will be granted across a range of fields, inclusive of business and commerce; medicine, health sciences and dentistry; science and engineering; education; law and arts; and more. bursaries will be awarded to students who are studying towards an Undergraduate Degree or Diploma only. Postgraduate studies will not be funded.
Minimum requirements:
- South African citizen
- Completed grade 12 OR currently in Matric
- Studying or intend on studying towards a first degree/ diploma qualification.
- Studying or intend on studying at a South African recognized institution of higher learning.
- Must be in financial need
- Good academic performance

supporting documents:
- Certified ID copy document.
- Certified copy of Matric certificate.
- Grade 12 latest results, if currently in grade 12
- Full tertiary academic record, if currently in University (stamped and certified by the institutional university or college.
- Proof of tertiary registration/ admission
