An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to assume the position of Handyman General.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will be to:

• Performing carpentry and plumbing work.
• Performing painting work as and when required.
• Performing electrical repairs including lights.
• Performing general maintenance of Ithala branches.
• Adhering to OHS standards and building regulations.
• Reading plumbing/carpentry sketches.
• Determine material requirements.
• Carry out installations according to predetermined procedures and standards.
• Quality constructions are completed timeously.

The following entry requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position:

• Grade 12.
• Code C1 (10) Driver’s License with PDP.
• Own vehicle essential.
• Certificate in building maintenance to include plumbing, painting, bricklaying and basic electrical
  repairs.
• A minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar position.
• Carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting skills.
• Experience in hardware tools and electrical repairs.
• Have knowledge of safety rules and regulations regarding plumbing and carpentry.
• The Individual must have the ability to read basic sketches/drawings applicable to carpentry.
• Fluency in both IsiZulu and English.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules or routines.
• Possess a positive attitude and be professional.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
